Let's call a spade a spade!

We believe in God Almighty. Not a far distant, grumpy old man in the sky, but the awesome creator God who loves each of us with a vengeance. We believe that the reason our world is broken and corrupt is because we, as human beings have chosen to wander off the path of life that God set for us and do our own thing. In fact this is the meaning of one of the Hebrew words for 'SIN' that you find in the Old Testament. 'Sin' is universal, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Our 'sin' separates us from God so that we cannot know Him and live life to the full. We believe that it separates us from God in this life and unless we find a cure for it, it will separate us from Him in the life to come.
God in His amazing love hasn't abandoned us, but entered the world in person to look for us, to live among us, to point the way, in the person of Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son...". We believe His death on the cross paid the price for our sins so that we have an amazing hope - "...that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." All that remains for us is to make a decision to stop whatever we know to be wilfully disobedient to God's ways, to believe in our heart that Jesus died for us and choose to respond to God wholeheartedly. He has promised that "all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
